Tieng Thang
CA, Bcom, BSc (Tax Manager)
Tieng is a qualified Chartered Accountant with working experience in many areas, including retail sales, owning small businesses, and payroll development and implementations. She has previously worked at Inland Revenue for 10 years in Compliance, specialising in tax audit cases. She loves flash technology and shares this love with us by helping clients utilise IT solutions to make work life easy. Tieng’s is passionate about working with clients towards their goals and visions. She is an excellent listener and appreciates when clients share their successes and failures stories. Tieng enjoys travelling with her family, snowboarding, and playing puzzle games to help keep her mind going.
Susan Hussan
CA, BBS (Senior Tax Accountant)
Susan is a qualified Chartered Accountant for over 17 years with Inland Revenue experience. She has worked for Abacus Accounting since 2013. She loves working in Public Practice and meeting new clients and supporting them with their business. She has a natural empathy and understanding of her clients. Prior to entering Public Practice, she worked at Inland Revenue under Compliance. Susan enjoys travelling, netball, fishing and spending quality time with family.
Megan Phillips
NZDipBus, Accountant
Megan has a NZ Diploma in Business (level 5) and have also studied in various administration and computing certifications. She has been with Abacus Accounting for over 5 years and over those years has built strong relationships with clients and their businesses. She’s a keen learner and loves helping our team and clients achieve results. Prior to Abacus she worked in banking, administration, and finance. Megan has three children aged 13, 12, and 2 who keeps her very busy when she’s not working. She enjoys spending time with her family, baking, and entertaining them. She is currently designing her new home.
Penny Zhang
Accountant
Penny graduated from the University of Auckland with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Supply Chain Management. She approaches every task with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect is thoroughly addressed, enabling her to excel in complex financial environments. Her short-term goal is to become a qualified Chartered Accountant, while her long-term goal is to provide exceptional service to her clients. In her free time, Penny enjoys badminton, snowboarding, baking, and handiwork.
